Nationally 25% of students progress to Russell Group Universities and this year Sexey’s School celebrates that 43% of its cohort are progressing to the top universities in the UK.

Helen Cullen, Headteacher, shared “Congratulations to the Year 13 students and their teachers who have worked hard and deserve these super results. I am sure that the students will all be proud of their achievements, and I know that many of them will join me in thanking their staff for their inspiring lessons, hard work and support. This year we see the highest number of students accessing a place in their first or second choice university. This is due to the exceptional advice and guidance they receive from the team at Sexey’s Sixth Form.”

Sexey’s School is again celebrating some exceptional individual performances this year and congratulations go to the top performing students who are:  

• Jasmine Grant who studied A Levels in Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths. Jasmine achieved 168 UCAS points with A*A*A* and is progressing to Southampton University to study Chemistry.   

• Flo Mowat who studied A levels in English Literature, Psychology, Sport Science and also completed the EPQ. Flo achieved 180 UCAS Points with A*A*A and a B in EPQ and is progressing to University of Exeter to study Applied Psychology.  
• Daisy Grant who studied A Levels in Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths. Daisy achieved 160 UCAS points with A*A*A and is progressing to Southampton University to study Chemistry.   

• Alex Edwards who studied Chemistry, Psychology, English Literature and an EPQ and achieved 160 UCAS points with AAB and an A for EPQ and is progressing to Southampton University to study Psychology.   

• Ethan Nichols who studied A Levels in Maths, Art, Chemistry and Physics. Ethan achieved 168 UCAS points with ABBB and is progressing to Strathclyde University to study Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.

There are a number of students who have made exceptional progress from their GCSE results to their A level results and congratulations go to these students:

Sexey’s Sixth Form prides itself in the strong staff and student relationships which underpin the high-quality teaching and learning. This year the school celebrates 100% A*-C in the following subjects:  

• English Literature   
• French   
• Further Maths   

Other high performing subjects included: Chemistry (88% A*-C), Geography (83% A*-C), Art (75% A*-C) and Geology (75% A*-C).
