Ashlands C of E Primary School joins the Quantock Education Trust
We are delighted to announce that Ashlands C of E Primary School in Crewkerne has joined the Quantock Education Trust (QET) today. Ashlands are the final school to join as part of the Trust's most recent expansion, which also included St Batholomew’s C of E Primary School, Merriott Primary School and Haselbury Plucknett Church of England Primary School. These schools are the South Somerset 'QET Hub'.
The integration into QET aims to foster greater collaboration, resource sharing, and best practices among the schools, enhancing educational opportunities for all children.
Chrysta Garnett, CEO of Quantock Education Trust, expressed enthusiasm for the growth of the Trust and the benefits it brings to the schools involved, particularly in terms of support, shared resource, and sharing of best practice. “Ashlands is a wonderful school with a committed staff team and enthusiastic learners. It has been a pleasure getting to know the school better over the past year. I know we will continue to develop and grow together, fulfilling our Trust’s vision of enriching life opportunities for all members of our community, working and learning together with aspiration, ambition and care, in our schools and wider society.”
Nicola Ball, Headteacher at Ashlands C of E Primary School, says, “We are really pleased to be part of QET now and have such a strong partnership with our other local Crewkerne Primary schools and schools further afield. Ashlands Primary is a really special place and I feel confident that this move into the Trust will have a huge benefit for our children, staff and family community.”
