  • General Kitchen Assistant

    We are seeking an hardworking individual to take on the role of General Kitchen Assistant. The
    successful applicant will work closely with the Catering Manger and other Catering staff to provide a
    lunch service to our students. Duties will involve basic food preparation, washing and cleaning of
    cutlery, crockery etc and cleaning of tables and serving food cafeteria fashion.

    The hours are part-time for 35 hours per week working 07:30 to 14:30 Monday to Friday and 17:00 -
    19:30 on a Wednesday. You will be expected to work weekends on a rota averaging 1 in 5. This post is
    term time only plus 3 additional weeks to be worked during the summer holidays or cleaning days.

  • Independent Listener (Volunteer Role)

    We have a volunteering opportunity for an Independent Listener to work with our boarding
    community. The Independent Listener is a person outside of the school who our boarding
    students may contact directly about problems or concerns at school. Candidates must have an

    school age children and adolescents and experience of working in a counselling role or similar.

    We are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and flexible Learning Support Assistant to support teaching staff within the Haselbury and Merriott Primary Schools Federation. Our school is a friendly and inclusive rural school at the centre of the village community. 

    This role would include a mix of supporting provision as specified through an EHCP as well as some general
    class support in Key Stage 2.

    The successful candidate will support the class teacher by:

    • Supporting learning under the direction of the class teacher, to include leading 1-1 and small group sessions with learning sequences; supporting additional needs and carrying out timetabled evidence-based interventions.
    • Adapting to the needs of individual pupils.
    • Supporting with classroom duties as required by teaching staff.
    • Supporting pupils to have happy and successful playtimes.
