  • Sexey’s School celebrates its continued ‘Good’ Ofsted rating for boarding

    Following a recent Ofsted inspection, Sexey’s School in Bruton, part of the Quantock Education Trust, are delighted to again be awarded a ‘Good’ rating for its boarding provision.

    The glowing report reaffirms the school’s social care grading of ‘Good’ and takes into account how well children and young people are helped and protected as well as the effectiveness of leaders and managers. The key findings identified a focus on creating an environment which provides care, nurture and support to boarders and the commitment by all staff to ensure that students feel safe.

  • Celebrations for GCSE students across the Quantock Education Trust

    Congratulations to all of our students collecting their GCSE results today. There certainly were many reasons to celebrate. Chrysta Garnett, CEO of the Quantock Education Trust, shared, “I am incredibly proud of the outstanding GCSE results achieved across our Trust this year. The Quantock Education Trust is committed to nurturing every student's potential, and these results are a clear indication that our approach is working. I would like to congratulate all our students, their families, and our staff for their hard work and commitment.   • Sexey’s Sixth Form A Level Results 2024

    This year, Sexey's School are celebrating another strong set of results with their outgoing Year 13 students. With 71% of students progressing to university and/or Art College, 97% of those who applied for university and/or Art College have gained a place at their first or second choice university. 23% of the students are progressing to Apprenticeship and/or employment with training, with 6% taking a GAP Year before progressing to university in September 2025.

  • Ashlands C of E Primary School joins the Quantock Education Trust

    We are delighted to announce that Ashlands C of E Primary School in Crewkerne has joined the Quantock Education Trust (QET) today. Ashlands are the final school to join as part of the Trust's most recent expansion, which also included St Batholomew’s C of E Primary School, Merriott Primary School and Haselbury Plucknett Church of England Primary School. These schools are the South Somerset 'QET Hub'.

    Quantock Education Trust (QET) was delighted to welcome Merriott Primary School and Haselbury Plucknett Church of England Primary School to the Trust on 1st June 2024. Ashlands C Of E Primary School will also be joining shortly. These schools join St Bartholomew's C of E Primary School as part of the South Somerset 'QET Hub'.

  • Haygrove School committed to “unwavering focus on providing pupils with a high-quality education”

    During Haygrove School’s most recent Ofsted inspection in April, the school, which is part of the Quantock Education Trust, achieved a ‘Good’ rating with ‘Outstanding’ for leadership and management. The inspectors shared many positive reflections about the school during their visit and in their report, in spite of the substantial disruption in the Autumn term with the unforeseen closure of the main building.

  • The Power of Collaboration – ‘Collective Effervescence’ at Quantock Education Trust

    This Inset Day showcased the power of collaboration within the Quantock Education Trust, emphasising the importance of shared goals and a unified vision and culture for student success. Teaching and support staff joined together for the first hour for a Trust-wide session delivered by Chrysta Garnett, Sarah Joseph, Julie North & Malcolm Reeve on ‘Living our intended culture: QET Values, Character and Inclusion in action’. The launch session set the tone really well for the rest of the day to help schools celebrate their uniqueness, work with their school community, prioritising students’ aspirations, treating each other with respect, and promoting equity within our schools.

    Congratulations to Year 11 at Sexey’s School who have shown great resilience in their GCSE’s navigating the last five years of secondary education, with two years affected by the pandemic, school closures and online learning. We are proud of how these young people have demonstrated the schools core values of Respect, Resilience, Empathy, Honesty, Courage, Forgiveness, Kindness and shown true determination in their GCSE exams.
